Located in Somerville, Victoria the Somerville hotel was completed early this year to the delight of its patrons. Taking 9 months to complete over 3 stages the client is now enjoying increasing patronage thanks to fully refurbished bars, bistro, beer garden, gaming space and terraces.
Considered a culturally significant site by the local community, the original hotel had suffered many years of neglect prior to this development. Peeling back the layers of previous work was carefully considered to ensure the beautiful existing fabric of the hotel was preserved, reinstated and indeed showcased. The extensions were designed to contrast with the heritage components, through the use of complimentary yet modern materials. The builder for this project was the Five One Group.
